  • Hand-made Fashion

It's been a while that I haven't updated anything here. I was very busy with my summer class, and all of a sudden I became very lazy again. Anyways, let's look at some of the "products" that we've done in my summer class.

*These are the fnal projects in summer class- Jacket with a pair of Pants. We made them with muslins, and they are the actual "hand-made" design samples.

I made this Jacket & Pants. The design is simple but elegant, and it's good for anyone who want to look more skinny than they actually are. For some reason the sleeves look different to each other due to my fair sewing skill. =Þ

  • Scam of the day

    Thomas and Stanley

    door-to-door-schemes-white-van-speaker-scam

The provided address on their website is fake, I believe this company is a scam as well.

I say this because they are using the address in my work place, and we kept receiving air mails to this company. Since there wasn't any return address, we opened the mail.

The document inside is a contract-like statment regarding someone who bought stock from Thomas and Stanley, since it looks like a serious document, we decided to call Thomas and Stanley and asked for their valid address so we could forward them the mail.

We called twice, the same lady picked up. We told her we got their mail, and we asked for their real address. At the begining she didn't understand what we were saying, then after several repeats she said 817 Broadway #10 is the address. We said, yah but which floor?? coz there's no such thing as #10 in here, and we are the one in this address, that's why we've got your mail. She put us on hold, then came back with the same answer. Our office manager was like, can't you just be honest and give us your real address? We have your mail regarding your client's stock. Then she was like, I am the operator and I cannot give you the information. We were like, wtf??? We just want to forward you the mail, and don't you care about your clients?

She just hang up on us.

I believe they are using our address illegally so they don't know what to answer.
Since this is so called an "investment company", how can you investment your money with a company that's using someone else's address and don't care their clients, esp in such economy?

I was browsing the internet about this company, and trying to find a way to report this issue, but there wasn't any information about it.

    Does anybody know?

  • Is It Good Art Or Bad Art?

Today I was attracted by a display window when I passed by the street. I bet many of you have seen it already.

They are bloody heads with no bodies. These heads are made with felt.

     Picture 040

Each head has its own expression.

    Picture 041

Some of them have fallen on the ground.

    Picture 042

They are pretty scary to me.

    Picture 044

The title of it is "Bold As Love" (love inevitably leads to death).

    Picture 046

The interesting thing is, these heads are being displayed across this beautiful church.

I personally think it's very amazing, even though I don't know what does the artist want to tell from this artwork. However, these heads somehow remind me of a serial killer who loved to use the victims' pieces to remake as artwork.

What would these heads remind someone who is a mental psycho?

Art has no limit, but is it good art or bad art?

  • If you can't get the bag, get the cake!

I passed by 65th street 11th ave yesterday, and I saw a small, sweet sweet pinky bakery. When I got closer to the display window, she's making a "Louis Vuitton bag" cake! It actually looks much better in real than in photo.

This is another nice one- the back of a wedding dress.

Then I look for her website http://www.sugarcoatedinc.com. I think the lady made all the cakes on her own.

I found more lovely ones on the site.

If you don't want to spend money for a real bag, why don't get a "fake" one for birthday?
